MD Consultant

We are looking to partner with 3 psychiatrists or medical doctors to be our part-time Consultants for the Agency. Please read below and contact Max at max@lukascounseling.org if interested.

Our Consultants are silent partners with our agency. Their responsibilities and expectations are:

(a) signing collaborative agreements with our 2 APRNs and answering any questions from them if any (which is rare!)

(b) be linked to our Agency as a psychiatrist or physician in the Medicaid system

There are NO day-to-day requirements of any duties to be performed. You can be our Consultant while doing other work outside of Lukas Counseling, of course. Those are the only 2 expectations as listed above. 

If you have a private practice, and you wish to do so, we can refer a certain % of referrals for psychiatric medication management to YOU, since we are often having to turn people away for lack of scheduling space. That's optional. 

There are certain requirements to meet:

(a) have a Florida MD/DO license, active.

(b) pass a Level-2 background screen (paid by us)

(c) Enroll in Florida Medicaid as a Psychiatrist (we take care of the cost)

(d) you must have your own, professional liability insurance

We are always up-front about this, so here it goes:

• 1 Position Still Opened. Our #2 and #3 (Secondary) Consultants get paid a weekly fee of $300.00. Paid via direct deposit. A 12-month committment is needed. 1099-Contract. We can also set you up to do fee-for-service work if you wish ($150.00 per psych eval, and $50.00 per follow-up)

• Position Filled. Our # 1 (Primary) Consultant gets paid a weekly fee of $600.00, paid via direct deposit. A 24-month committment is needed. 1099-Contract. Additional Fee of 361.00 per week (for 961.00 total) IF you can do 7 psychiatric evalutions via telehealth per month through our Agency.
