Welcome!
Since 2010, Lukas Counseling has been treating a number of mental health and behavioral health problems (depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, ADHD, etc.). Our goal is to help families, to bring accessibility of behavioral health services to the Florida population, something that lacks throughout the great Sunshine State. We do that through a combination of telehealth and in-person therapy. Accredited by the Joint Commission from October 2025 through 2028 for healthcare excellence.
COUNSELING/THERAPY
Counseling services are provided weekly, and individualized to your particular needs. Sessions are performed on a weekly basis at-home (in-school, as approved), or via Telehealth. We can also meet in-the-community if you don't want to receive us at your home. Our qualified and friendly counselors will meet with you and be your guide in helping you get better through any problem you are experiencing. Some clients receive counseling for a few months, others stay with us for years depending on the issue. See FAQ for more. Check Insurance Funding page for additional information and restrictions.
Please note - We do not provide Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters.
PSYCHOSOCIAL REHAB SERVICES
Also offered are Psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) services (reimbursed by all Medicaid Plans) for clients to address independent living needs or skills, such as social skills, money management, budgeting, and other interpersonal activities that the individual lacks due to an emotional or behavioral problem/disability. PSR can be done individually or in groups. Check Insurance Funding page for additional information and restrictions.
Must Check all 3 in order for PSR to be medically necessary:
- Client's meets criteria for PSR (the goal of PSR is to restore the client’s skills and abilities essential for independent living).
- Client’s diagnosis is NOT Adjustment Disorder.
- Client is age 12+, and needs rehabilitation in TWO or more of the following:
- Pre-vocational, job training, matching, and/or support
- Budgeting and money management
- Maintenance of the living environment
- Training in appropriate use of community services
- Structured activities
- Social skills training
- Symptom management, medication management, and treatment options
- Food planning and preparation
- Transportation
- Daily living skills
- Establishing social supports
- Reducing isolation and withdrawal tendencies
If you have Sunshine as your plan, we can also provide (FTC) Family Training and Counseling for Child Development, to help the client and the family. See FAQ for more.
TARGETED CASE MANAGEMENT
If you also need Targeted Case Management, our qualified Targeted Case Managers can help you in those regards to match you with local community resources, and be your advocate for those services. Our TCMs can help you apply for services (Medicaid, food stamps, other government assistance), advocate for you with school related issues, housing, and other matters of daily living. PSYCHIATRIC MEDICATION
Psychiatric medication management is provided via telehealth only, through our APRNs (Nurse Practitioners with Psychiatry Specialty). Check Insurance Funding page for additional information and restrictions. You must have counseling with Lukas in order to receive this service.
Languages
We can provide therapy in Spanish - Russian - Greek. Please plan ahead, since most bilingual counselors are often full.
